How to manage it
Fruits on last year's wood, so prune hard every year to renew fruiting shoots. Mostly self-fertile and productive within a few years of planting.
Watch out for
Short-lived (roughly 15-20 years); early bloom is very frost-sensitive and can lose the crop; prone to peach leaf curl and borers. Needs winter chill - use low-chill cultivars in mild zones.
